Batching and Mixing
Concrete production is the core part of the precasting process. This is done by mixing cement, sand, and other aggregates with water and sometimes also with additives prior to molding. In EDGE Floor production line this is done by Batching and Mixing Plant E9-105.
Storing, lifting and transferring
Cut products are lifted to storage and process is started again from the beginning. The storing, lifting and transferring and taken care of by Lifting Beam E9-10-16, Wagon E9-1200w and Storage Clamps E9-16.
Elematic concrete transportation systems transport concrete to the casting station of a precast factory. The system consists of tracks and shuttles in the needed amount. The track is electrified and the system functions automatically. The transportation in EDGE Floor production line is handled by Shuttle E9-2800.
Distributor is a half portal overhead bucket gantry, that serves as an intermediate concrete storage between the Shuttle and casting machine. With integrated lift system it can also be used for transporting machinery.
Bed preparation in EDGE Floor production line is carried out by Preparer E9-1200p. First the Preparer cleans and oils the casting bed and then it pulls the prestressing strands on the bed.
The strands are prestressed with bundle stressing unit. The stressing abutments are designed for holding strands of the floor slabs during prestressing. All the strands are stressed together efficiently in one cycle using a bundle stressing device.
The casting machine is lifted onto the bed and filled with concrete. The concrete is transported to the hopper of the casting machine by the transportation and distribution systems. The casting in EDGE Floor production line is done by either Extruder E9-1200e or Slipformer P7-1200s.
Fresh product in EDGE Floor production line is modified by Modifier E9-1200m with markings, recesses and opening like through-holes for sewers. Water holes can also be drilled and cutting lines marked.
The concrete is covered with tarpaulin covers (provided by buyer) to prevent loss of moisture and to preserve optimal curing conditions. The curing process in EDGE Floor production line is controlled by Maturity Control E9-8mc system.
After curing, the saw is lifted onto the bed and products are cut to length automatically according to the production plan. The cutting in EDGE Floor production line is done by Saw E9-500.
