Role Summary

The IT Manager, is responsible for the development and implementation of IT strategy based on company’s business objectives, leading technology initiatives and spearheading the company-wide AI agenda. The responsibilities also include budget planning and follow-up, leading IT development projects that are meeting the business needs, IT services management and quality assurance, and IT risk management. This role orchestrates the deployment of artificial intelligence solutions across company’s business units and functions, and manages the overall IT architecture to drive innovation and enable efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy

  • Define the IT vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with the company’s overall goals and market needs. Communicate IT and AI strategies, roadmaps, and project statuses to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. engineering, design, service, sales and marketing) to ensure successful development and implementation of IT strategy and roadmap.
  • Propose and lead IT projects aimed at boosting business operations and improving customer experience.
  • Oversee the company’s IT landscape and coherence of the IT architecture.
  • Maintain and develop IT policies. Define the budget and manage IT costs within own area of responsibility.

AI leadership

  • Development of IT platforms to enable efficient deployment of AI, e.g. integration platform, data warehouse solutions etc. Ensure that systems integrate seamlessly, leveraging APIs and automation where appropriate.
  • Drive the implementation of company’s AI strategy. Identify new opportunities for artificial intelligence and process automation together with business units, drive the implementation of the most impactful use cases. Collaborate with business units and functions to define, plan, and execute AI projects from proof-of-concept to full-scale deployment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging AI technologies, proactively recommending applications that add value to the organization.
  • Act as a change agent to secure rapid adoption of AI-based business processes.

Tactical and operational responsibilities

  • IT services management, quality assurance
  • IT risk management: regularly assess IT risks and develop mitigation action plans, follow-up and reporting to management
  • New employee induction to IT landscape
  • Guide, support and train users

Specific application management

  • Act as a key user for the ERP system – manage updates, user support and accounts, report development, vendor management
  • Application license management
  • Worktime and access management system

About you

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT architecture, infrastructure, and security best practices.
  • Strong exposure to AI technologies, data analytics, and deployment at scale.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in relevant IT roles, where value creation and delivery to support businesses is demonstrated.
  • Experience in leading technology transformation projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant technology platforms, including cloud platforms and AI/ML frameworks
  • Fluent English skills, fluency in Finnish and other languages is a plus
  • Knowledge of precast industry is an advantage
  • Experience in working in multicultural environment
  • Occasional travel may be required for industry conferences, customer meetings, or team collaborations.
