We are hiring: Presales Engineer for Software Sales.

Job Description

Role Summary 
The Presales Engineer bridges technical expertise with business objectives, ensuring customers and internal teams fully understand Elematic’s software and digital offerings. By aligning technical capabilities with client needs, this role drives successful sales outcomes and long-term customer satisfaction.

Purpose 
The Presales Engineer is the technical link among Sales, Service, and Product Development. This position owns the demo program, supports the technical sales process, and upskills internal teams to maximize the impact of Elematic’s software and digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Demo Program Ownership & Excellence 

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a standardized, scalable demo environment representing Elematic’s software and service offering
  • Own demo data and automation tools to enable both repeatable and personalized demos, reducing case-by-case customization
  • Ensure demo setups are always up-to-date with the latest product features and aligned with the product roadmap
  • Measure and report demo program impact using analytics (e.g., demo-to-opportunity and demo-to-win conversion rates)

Sales Support & Technical Validation 

  • Support sales managers in customer meetings by providing technical expertise and delivering compelling demo sessions that translate customer requirements into product value
  • Participate in discovery workshops and technical qualification calls to ensure demos and solutions address customer pain points
  • Provide technical responses to RFPs and customer inquiries
  • Support or lead proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot engagements as required

Internal Enablement & Knowledge Sharing 

  • Host internal training sessions to upskill regional office teams and other stakeholders on Elematic’s software and digital solutions
  • Develop and maintain presales playbooks, demo scripts, FAQs, and technical enablement content for internal teams
  • Track and report the number and quality of enablement sessions delivered, and adoption of demo tools/playbooks

Collaboration & Feedback Loops 

  • Align with Service team to integrate service-related use cases into demos and provide technical input on service packages and digital tools used in aftersales
  • Work closely with Product Development to ensure demo capabilities match the product roadmap and provide feedback from demo sessions to guide product enhancements
  • Systematically capture and communicate customer feedback and demo insights to Product and Service teams for continuous improvement

Technical Expertise & Continuous Learning 

  • Build a solid understanding of precast industry workflows and Elematic’s end-to-end offering
  • Stay current with product updates, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Train internal stakeholders (sales, service, marketing) in demo usage and technical positioning

Required Qualifications 

  • Background in prefabricated concrete construction industry, structural engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience in presales, sales or technical consulting (preferably within construction technology)
  • Strong consultative communication and storytelling skills. Ability to translate technical concepts into customer value
  • Experience conducting customer meetings and compelling product presentations
  • Ability to create and maintain technical enablement content
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Service, and Product Development
  • Fluent in English; additional languages considered an asset
  • Commitment to continuous learning and sharing best practices

KPIs for Success 

  • Functional, standardized demo environment established within 6 months
  • Demo-to-opportunity and demo-to-win conversion rates
  • Number of successful demo deliveries supporting global sales cases (tracked by demo to sales ratio)
  • Positive feedback from Sales Directors and customers on demo quality
  • Measurable reduction in need for case-by-case demo customization
  • Number and quality of internal enablement sessions delivered; adoption of demo tools/playbooks
