The Elematic Precast Academy 2026 arrives in Delhi with over 350 industry leaders supporting India’s construction transformation

Elematic Precast Academy 2026 in Delhi

Delhi, February 27th, 2026: Building on the success of its Hyderabad debut in September 2025, the Elematic Precast Academy has now arrived in Delhi, uniting over 350 of India’s top developers, contractors, technology pioneers, and partners from India, Finland, and worldwide to accelerate the modernization of India’s construction industry through precast technology.

Organized by Elematic Oyj, a global leader in precast concrete technology from Finland, with support of Jindal Steel and numerous partners, the second edition of Precast Academy 2026 continues to shape the future of India’s urban infrastructure with smarter, faster, and more sustainable construction solutions.

A shared vision for a new era of construction

Opening the Delhi session, Ambassador Kimmo Lähdevirta of the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi, highlighted the shared opportunity between India and Finland in leading sustainable innovation:

“India represents one of the world’s most dynamic construction markets. Finnish companies bring decades of experience in industrialized precast construction — where over 95% of new buildings in Finland are now built with precast methods. Collaboration between our nations can play a key role in realizing India’s vision for sustainable, high-quality urban growth.”

Teppo Voutilainen, CEO of Elematic Oyj, emphasized India’s pivotal role in redefining modern construction:

“India’s urban transformation is extraordinary. By adopting industrialized construction technologies, such as precast, the nation can deliver housing and infrastructure at an unprecedented scale while cutting construction time by 50%, costs by 30%, and carbon emissions. Automation and digitalization will be critical to solving labor challenges and delivering sustainable growth.”

Transforming construction together in Precast Academy in Delhi – highlights:

  • Megaproject case studies demonstrated how precast is transforming largescale commercial and residential developments, with realworld insights from My Home Construction and Suraksha Smart City on speed, sustainability, and scale.
  • Philip Winckel of Hendriks Formwork Solutions shared insights into tunnel formwork and hybrid construction for 30–100-storey buildings. Industrialized, modular solutions and standardized construction systems were discussed by Jussi Aho, Vakio by Flow Systems, highlighting how repeatability and precision improve quality and speed.
  • Innovation sessions across the construction value chain highlighted composite buildings, partition walls, modular interiors, and designforprecast solutions, featuring Jindal Smart Building, Mahesh Prefab, Puustelli, and SPA Design.
  • Technology as an enabler of change was showcased through solutions for precast manufacturing, material handling, BIM, and structural systems, presented by Aquarius, ElectroMech, Trimble, and Peikko.

India’s construction need for efficiency and sustainability

India’s cities, home to about 35% of the population and generating nearly 70% of GDP, are expanding faster than ever. With the urban population expected to reach 50% (around 840 million people) by 2050, the demand for infrastructure is immense.

That urgency, according to Shridhar Rao, Sales Director, Elematic India, makes the adoption of precast construction an essential step:

“We have been working alongside India’s builders and precasters for over 15 years, and the message is clear: efficiency and sustainability must go hand in hand. The Precast Academy is about bringing together Indian builders and global experts to share realworld experience. By industrializing construction, we can deliver affordable housing, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable cities at the speed India needs.”
