OKSK opens highly advanced Elematic EDGE lines for precast concrete products
On June 25, 2014, OAO “Omskij Kombinat Stroitelnyh Konstruktsij” (OKSK) celebrated the opening of their new production lines for manufacturing of energy-efficient precast concrete products for housing construction in Omsk, Russia.
OKSK’s new solution includes highly advanced Elematic EDGE level production lines for both walls and hollow-core slabs. Annual production capacity of the new set-up will be 100 000 square meters of residential floor area and it will give work to approximately 100 employees.
The first new generation precast concrete houses, which will be built with products from OKSK, are to be located in Cheredovyj, a suburb of Omsk. Building of the 190 hectare area is a part of a new housing program in the region that aims at keeping the apartment prices on a reasonable level. The building works cover approximately 700 000 square meters of residential floor area, with mainly 5-, 9- and 12-floor apartment houses.
In the recent years, this kind of Finnish technology for similar housing production has been successfully applied elsewhere in Russia as well, for example in St. Petersburg, Samara and Petrozavodsk.
The opening celebrations gathered together representatives of the press and other invited guests, among them the governor of Omskaya Oblast Mr. Nazarov. Mrs. Maija Toivonen, Project Manager at Elematic, also participated in the event.Back
