B.E. Billimoria & Co. Ltd. (BEB) is one of India's leading Civil Engineering Construction Contractors. The company has been operating since 1958 and is well-known for its commitment to high standards and quality products. BEB is now expanding its operations to precast concrete element production. Therefore they have signed an agreement with Elematic for delivery of new plant for production of solid slabs and wall panels. The production start has been scheduled for early 2011.

The pace of development in high speed rail is picking up speed in North America, and Elematic Inc. is accelerating its plans to get play a role in what promises to be a multi-billion-dollar initiative. In the most recent move, Elematic USA General Manager Matt Cherba became one of the newest members of AREMA, the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association. The new affiliation reflects Elematic’s belief that the US will soon be a major user of the prestressed cement crossties produced by the company’s long line manufacturing process.

At Elematic’s stand in BAUMA 2010, champagne glasses are raised April 20th at 11 am to toast Block Berge Bygg’s acquisition of the first Elematic Extruder E9. “We are investing in new machinery to enable us to follow through more extensive construction projects requiring hollow-core with larger spans and profiles”, says Terje Skårland, Plant Manager at Block Berge Bygg. “Our aim is to increase production capability and secure delivery of high-technology products. There was no need to look for other suppliers, as our decades-long cooperation with Elematic has been highly successful.”

Finnish know-how on building construction will soon be used in Belarus. Elematic Oy Ab has signed a significant contract with a Belorussian client. Elematic machinery to be delivered to an extension of a precast factory will be producing precast elements to build a couple thousand dwellings annually.
